Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a video game created by Rockstar North and released by Rockstar Games for action-adventure. It was released for PlayStation 2 on October 26, 2004, and for Microsoft Windows and Xbox on June 7, 2005. On 30 June 2015 and 1 December 2015, respectively, a high-definition remastered version got a physical launch for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
It is the seventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the first major entry in the Grand Theft Auto since 2002: Vice City. It was published for Game Boy Advance on the same day as the handheld game Grand Theft Auto Advance. The game was added to the library of Xbox One Backward Compatible on June 8, 2018.
Five years ago, Carl Johnson fled from life's pressures in Los Santos, San Andreas, a town that was falling apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption. Where movie stars and millionaires are doing their utmost to prevent dealers and gangbangers. Now it's the early 90s. Carl has to go home. His mother was killed, his family fell apart, and his childhood friends were all heading for disaster. A few corrupt police framed him for homicide on his return to the neighborhood.
CJ is compelled on a trip that takes him across the entire country of San Andreas, saving his family and taking control of the streets.
